Martin Amethyst is a plain chenille velvet with a shine.  This fabric is a shaded plum color.   This fabric is 100% polyester. This fabric does have a nap.  This fabric would be a nice upholstery fabric, accent pillow fabric, head board fabric, house fabric. Because of the shading, this color is especially  hard to capture on the computer.  We suggest you request a sample if you want to see it closer.
